McNair Scholar Wins Research Award at Statewide Symposium
On February 22-23, 2008, researchers from nine UC campuses gathered at UC Irvine to present and showcase their research in engineering, sciences and mathematics fields at the California Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation in Mathematics, Science and Engineering (CAMP).
CAMP was established to encourage and support completion of the Bachelor of Science degree by underrepresented minorities, and prepare them for graduate school. The symposium annually recognizes students’ research for originality, depth of understanding, and likelihood of sparking further research. This year, seven undergraduate researchers represented UC Davis at the symposium.
